Looking for recommendations for great seafood during Annual Conference.
My favorite sushi place is Mizu. It is a hole-in-the-wall but it is always good and a fun time.
Thanks for the recommendation!
I’m a bit embarrassed to admit I’ve never eaten there, but I suspect Mitch’s Seafood has reached “institution” status at this point. It’s about 15 minutes from the conference hotel.
That said, check out Eater’s list of San Diego seafood places, too; I’ve never gotten a bad recommendation from that site when traveling.
La Playa Taco Shop is also a top-hole in-the-wall place. I love their fish tacos. It is a bit of a walk, but you can walk up the bay side, and it is very peaceful walk.
Is this the place?
Yep, that’s it. I’m contemplating a visit when I’m out pre-conference, pending buy-in from a friend who will be visiting at the same time.
Marking this one down for a visit.
Kim and I always love the Baked Bear for ice cream sandwiches over in the Pacific Beach area by the Crystal Pier.
If you plan to go explore La Jolla or Bird Rock, Don Bravo is my favorite taco shop. They have some amazing seafood options. My go-to is the calamari burrito. And if you want to go to the end of the street, you get an amazing view!
